Not really sure where to start on this, and with my current Job/home situation this “build” is going to take quite awhile. As I said previously I saved this ride from going to a scrapper. The inside was totally trashed, and I still am unaware as to why the vehicle was parked/abandoned in the first place. So far all I have done to it is replace the cracked grey dashboard with a newer not cracked black one, and replaced some vacuum lines under the hood. As well as cleaned the car up fairly well and removed the old crappy window tint.

I have driven it around my neighborhood and it seems to run fine, I did notice a weird noise which sounds like possibly a rotor/brake issue, or maybe a wheel bearing issue? Not sure exactly yet.

Have you driven it longer than 15 ish min?? When i saved mine from the scrapper a few years back it had a greddy i did some repairs and after being able to drive her for 15-30min straight it would stall on me and not start for about 20min. then it would repeat the process. Figured out the 2nd time of it happening it was due to my BOV being Non-Recirculated. i got her to a parts store just before close and got a flex hose to get me home. worled like a charm. Curious if yours is doing the same or not..???

I haven’t taken it on a long drive yet, just the corner store. And I do plan on either re-circulating or spending the money on speed density. But first vacuum leaks from hell. And tires. Mine are mismatched, both brand and sizes ‍♂️

Have you done basic maintenance? That and the vacuum leaks definitely take precedence over the mismatched tires at this point.

I have so far just done the oil, plugs, wires, and flushed all my brake lines. It’s not a driver yet, and won’t be until I get my timing belt (etc) new brakes all around, and find (or make) an intake to recirculate this BOV. Figure the vent has to be the reason for the 1500rpm idle at this point. Have replaced all other vacuum hoses already

I bought an $11 headlight restore kit. In about 10 mins they went from fairly yellow to nice and clear. Not as nice as if I had gone to my shop and sanded and clear coated, but not bad either. The test will be how long it last for that price

I think the “boss” made up my mind. She came out of the house, looked at it and said “yeah, I don’t like the pin striping

Good job on the floors. Any idea why the steering wheel looks so faded and crusty?

The steering wheel itself is nice and black to match the dash. The airbag part is the original one from this car and is grey. It’s crusty looking because the car was parked with the window open for over a year. I need to source a black airbag to swap out
