I think I have decided on a new suspension set-up. I have had Tokico Blues in my garage for about two months now and I had some Eibach's coming, but it turns out I got scammed. I have been researching for a while now and I don't want a huge drop or anything like that, just something to get rid of a little wheel gap. I have my car slammed right now from the previous owner and I don't like it. I was thinking ProKit, but I have decided on something different. Anyone with the Tein S-Tech Springs? I did a search, but there wasn't anything really interesting. I am planning on ordering them from TheSpeedFactor.com.

That gives you an idea. Any ideas or critisicm of my set-up is welcome.

Let me know and thanks in advance.

ive got the same setup.....tein s-techs, with the tokico blues.....dropped me almost exactly 1 inch.

rides smooth and handles well too. I found the springs on ebay for about $140 shipped.

I myself am going to get rid of my eibachs (sportlines) i was thinking about just getting the tein ss coilovers but they are somewhat expensive for me right now.

If you end up getting those springs on the car please write a review i would like to hear what you have to say about them.

I have S-Techs with Tokico Illuminas and the ride is pretty decent. I had it set pretty high on the Tokico's and it was pretty stable, no bouncing crap on the highway at like 4 all around. If I go lower its really smooth but handling suffers naturally so I keep em around 2 in the front, 3 in the rear.

One thing I always wondered about on the S-Techs was that spring rate listed on their website. If prostreetonline.com has the right stock spring rates for a 2g then the S-Techs actually have a lower spring rate....dunno on that one. Overall good springs for the price.

I agree. My wife has the S-Techs on her 97GST. The ride quality is awesome and they lowered the car just enough for her taste. Her car definitely has the more aggressive look she was looking for.

flytalon93 or greeneclipse do you guys have any side shots of the cars? I would like to see how much wheel gap you have.Right now i have the Progressive 1.5" and Tokico blues. I want something not as low like i have.I was looking at the s and h tech springs. Thanks a bunch

I know my post has gotten a little old, but I just received my Tein S-Tech springs from UPS yesterday and I am planning on getting them put on today. I will post some pics after the install, they appear to be great springs, but I guess appearance isn't much when it comes to springs/coilovers. I ordered them off of ebay and they came in like three days so if someone wants to know who I got them from, just pm me.

Pics will be posted today or tommorow.

I put Tein S-Techs on the other day with KYB AGX Shocks. I must say, these springs are very nice. My 95 suspension must have been going because even on the hardest shock setting the ride is still a lot smoother. We went to an AMS meet last night and were cruising over 100mph on the highway on the way back. When switching lanes and getting off on the 360* ramp these stuck really well the car handled great. The drop is nice on these, it makes the car look a lot better and no wheel gap like stock. heres some pictures

I agree with Boost that these springs are nice. The install took me and Frontwheeler(mostly Frontwheeler) about four hours and that was with some mistakes and reinstallation. I paired the S-Tech's with the Tokico Blues and so far it is great. I love the drop, the stance it now gives, and the way it handles. I take corners sharp as I want and I now get smooth highway driving also. I would recommend this setup to anyone, but I also haven't taken it to the track yet. My whole suspension setup ended up being around $450 for a ride that is greater than any other dropped DSM I have ever been in.

As for a camber kit, my car was slammed before so I did need a camber kit, but never installed one. I can't tell right now if I need one or not, but I am getting my car aligned this week sometime so we'll see what the guy says.

you do need a camber kit. my fronts have a kit on and the rears i did the washer mod with about 6-8 washers behind each bolt on the upper control arm.

Hey I got a 91 FWD Talon. I noticed that most of you guys have a 95+ and was woundering if they make the S-Tech for the 91. I was planning on a setup of KYB AGX all around with the Tein S-Tech if i can find them. If they make them for the 91 would you let me know also if you have any good sites to buy them off of would be nice. Thanks

Hey, I also have a 91 Talon but AWD and thought that Teins were made only for the 95+ cars. Searching the web I found that they actually make the S-tech springs for the 1G cars but only for the awd version.
Here is the link
http://store.racinglab.com/mi89ecatutes.html
Front drop: 1.3"
Rear drop: 1.6"
Spring rate F: 213 lbs.
Spring rate R: 179 lbs.
I ordered a set for my car yesterday!!!
Hope they are as good as they say they are.

hey thx for the info but it raises another question... will the AWD fit on a FWD??? if anyone knows let me know.

They will physically fit but because of the weight differences between a turboAWD car and a FWD NT, the drop will be less in comparison to the specifications given. Cannot tell you much about handling because I don't know the spring rates for the stock springs on your car.
