New owner of '90 GSX(Slight Mods):Trouble shooting

Just bought A 1990 GSX...with 170K on body,rebuilt motor/tranny 20K ago.
Anyways mods include:

-2.5" exhaust
-3" downpipe
-16g Turbo
-S-AFC
-255lb fuel pump

Questions I have is:
When I get on it and RPMs reach about 4500-5000k it sputs sounds like a fuel cut or something?
The AFC resets every time I turn off the car,how to fix?
And should I just take out the AFC until I have some 550cc injectors installed,cause I have no idea on how to set it with the minor mods i have on the car.

on the afc make sure under the setting of initialize (i believe its called that) make sure its under NO...I had this happen to me but it was on my SAFC2 if im wrong someone let me know.. Maybe the power wire is hooked up wrong also. Sounds like fuel cut, but first think you should always do is a boost leak test.

yes hes right i am currently running s-afc-ll also check and make sure u have the right file on once u do all of this drive it if it is still the same check the wiring-afc try tuning it

Also that 255 might be overriding that stock fuel regulator. I have seen cars run fine with a stock regulator and 255 pump,but every car is different. Changing settings on the afc is not going to do much at all if that is the case.

you do need a AFPR for the 255LPH ....

i had 255 walbro with stock fpr on mine and it was fine does it have stock maf sensor

Yea its the stock 1g MAF senor.

I owned a 90 GSX few years ago,and had a 255 but with 550cc injectors with the stock FPR on it and it ran fine aswell...so im kinda not sure what up with this one.

The sputtering is either spark related, or fuel related. But from the looks of your mod list, I'd guess that 255lph pump is probably overrunning the stock FPR. But it could easily be something else. Do a boost leak test, and check the plugs and wires first and then go from there.
