new clutch

hey im in process of getting a new clutch my question is what clutch do i get i have a 96 tsi with a 6bolt swapped . i was told that i need to get a 6bolt pressure plate , and a 6 bolt flywheel ,but for the disk it self i need a 2g disc .. so that means i have to get the clutch in pieces ? or can i just get a 6 bolt kit of stm or any other site ??

The clutch from 90-99 DSM are all the same. Pick up a kit just from one of our vendor and you will need a 6bolt flywheel.

^^^ exactly what he said.. Pressure plate and disk are the same.

Make sure u get the right 6bolt flywheel, awd or fwd, that's what is going to matter.

i have a question about this. ok i have a 90 gsx and a 90 tsi fwd. can i take the motor out of the tsi and will it bolt right up to my gsx awd. im replacing the clutch and flywheel so can i buy any 6bolt flywheel and clutch

the flywheel must match the transmission (awd or fwd) and of course be either 6 or 7 bolt depending on what you have. Clutch doesn't matter. They are the same for ALL turbo dsm.

ok so i can buy a 6bolt fwd flywheel and any clutch and it will bolt up to my awd tranny

fwd flywheels go to fwd trannys - awd flywheels to awd trannys. Cannot mix - they have a different # of teeth and different starter plates which will cause starter problems.
