I recently bought new brake rotors and pads and installed them in my car. However, i only had money to do the front two. The rears will be coming very soon.
However, I was driving my car and after i installed the new stuff i heard a really loud and high pitched sound. It sounds kinda like nails on a chalk board. So, I am now trying to find someone that can maybe give me an suggestions or anythings to look for. The car brakes fine but its makes that noise. Also it makes the noise just when im driving But its really LOUD When i hit the brakes.
please help me

(o ya nad todays my birthday great way to start huh)

Assuming that the noise is from the front, you probably have something between the pad and the rotor (or you put a pad in backwards somehow). Lift the car, pull the wheels, and look.

If the noise is from the rear, you are probably hitting the "replace me!" finger on a pad.
