We took the auto car back out to the track tonight after having alternator problems on Thursday. Only got to make 2 passes due to the crowd.

First pass

1.435 60'
6.18@114
[email protected]

Car was picking up knock though the sensor was grounded? So it was plling timing.

Next pass

1.433 60'
6.15@114
[email protected]

Still picking up knock even though we changed the way it was grounded. Seems the sensor is bad so we will swap in the new sensor and go make more passes next week. It was nice to get some passes again with no major problems after so many for so long.

Thanks again to Slowboy Racing for the Manifold and 2.1 kit as well as everything else we needed to get this thing back together as fast as we did. Look forward to getting it deeper into the 9s soon.

Hey, you said in another thread this was done with a gt35r, but can you give us any other information on the car, maybe some pics to go with it? What made you decide to go with the destroker over a stroked 4g63 or just a straight 2.0?

It now has a DBB T67, destroker over stroker for revs. With the auto you are limited to gearing and we need all the revs we can get.

I will have a vid with pics up tonight.

I could watch vids likethat all day long! Did that guy in the truck have any idea what he was up against? He probably thought he was going to won the race after the lead you let him get off the line! Haha! Awesome! That was a thing of beauty!

IIRC Brian siad 8500ish but the stock tac is not very accurate past redline. On the dyno it has went 150-155ish at 9500. We only use the first 3 gears not OD and having a 26" tire helps stretch them out.

RPM is not limited by the shortblock against popular belief. You can reach all the same rpm's with either the 2.0, destroker 2.1 or the stroker 2.3
