Does it make any noise when the clutch is slipping...(taking off from a red light)?

nope no noises at all when taking off, engages and disengages perfect, its just when cruising and lightly pushing on the gas it shutters and and there is a ciolent clunking every few minutes, the faster i go the louder it gets, it didnt act like this before the clutch was done it rode like it was on a rail, perfect.. now it sux. LOL

Mine ACT 2100 is doing the samething and I don't really know what it is. I just had the clutch put on also. Is this normal? Need expert help.

I installed an ACT-2100 in my buddies 91-fwd and had no problems at all(last summer) I really dont think its the clutch itself--at least not the disk & pp. I would check some of the other things that you removed or disconnected to do the job. :thumb: :laser:

If you have an AWD car, I'd check to make sure that who ever did your clutch job put fluid back into the transfer case. I'd also check to make sure all of the bolts are in place and are torqued to specs.

Hey, come to think about it, you might be right about the transfer case fluid needing to be fill. I will do that this weekend and will reply back on the result. :thumb:

Make sure none of the main tranny bolts that go to the block are backing out. I had the fwd bolt (by the slv. cyl.) back over an inch out and it torqued my tranny towards the rear of the car! Made for the most god awful noise you've ever heard. Sounded like an EXTREMELY loud belt when they go bad. Tightened it back up and it went away. But now I have a ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch sound coming from there so I pulled the tranny. Something got damaged. Still trying to find out what it is. :|
