Clutch Noises

When i press in my clutch it makes a whining noise is that my throw out bearing going bad or what ?

If it makes noise when the clutch pedal is pressed and goes away when released it is more than likely a faulty release (throw out) bearing.

Yep. Sounds like your TOB's going bad.

what about the reverse? like if you are off the clutch, theres a whine, so you put your foot on the pedal and extend very short and then the noise goes away. any ideas?
