I have fixed about 6 boost leaks and now I have a leak that I can't figure out how to fix. Its at the spring loaded throttle cable thing next to the throttlebody.. any suggestions

Pull your TB off and replace the seals. Its a common place to leak I have read, and there are seals at both ends of the shaft. You pull the TB off, unscrew the butterfly, and slide the shaft out. Replace seals and put it back together. Not very hard to do really.

Are the seals orings or something else?

You can use an 0-ring but they aren't a for sure seal, and can make the throttle stick a little. They use a small seal from the factory. IF you do a search for throttle body shaft seals than you will find the part numbers for them and where to order them.

I guess I should rephrase that, due to the difference in sizes I don't think there is a way to run a 1g TB on a 2g without porting or swapping, so I think you are good. You could take a set of calipers and measure for peace of mind.

I'm pretty much done trying with this car.. iv changed everything iv done BLT upon BLT and the throttlebody just wont stop leaking at the short route pipe to the throttlebody. I bought this peice of $hit in november and still to this day its just been problems. And iv only driven it 3 times... I'm thinking of just selling it.. I don't know what to do anymore

Have you tried replacing the throttle body gaskets? If it's leaking at the connection of the upper intercooler pipe to the throttle body it's either a gasket or coupler leak.

Iv bought 4 oem gaskets and still just keeps leaking. The couple isn't leaking its up at the short route elbow that connects to the throttlebody

Is the TB elbow flange warped?

No. It sits flush with the throttlebody

I just doubled the gaskets and sprayed them with copper gasket sealer.. I'm going to let it dry and hopefully that helps alittle bit...

i feel your pain bud, but just keep going with it. ive ridden in cars that have minimal issues and they are worth it. trust me. mine is also an ongoing process but it will get there eventually. and i havent even gotten to the boost leak part of my issues, im still dealing with boost creep.

Im about to go continue my never ending blt as well, I feel your pain.

Ive been chasing small issues and boost leaks since september, but Ive driven mine a few more times than 3 ROFL or it probably would have had a small bomb under it already.
