Guys I've got a problem that i cant seem to fix. I just put my head back on and fixed all my problems. So I punch it and see that my boost just keeps going up 15....20....25.... AHHHHHH scary!!! anyway it doesnt seem to stop at all. Will not hold solid anywhere. The mbc is hooked up properly side nipple to wastegate and bottom to bov vacuum line. What else could my problem be. Geeze such horrible timing and luck. Flapper? Wastegate actuator? Anything else? How can i check these and see if their dead...Thanks for the help. I reallly appreciate it. Just got everything fixed and all i want to do is drive my car fast!! :(

make sure all the hoses to and from the mbc, actuator, etc are clamped on good and the hoses are not damaged, also make sure the actuator rod is not binding and check the flapper with the rod off to make sure it is not stuck, good luck

Im not sure how to do those things. Do I just pull the actuator right off the arm. Is it help on with anything or does it just pull right off?

To check the flapper take out the cotter key and slide the arm off and make sure the flapper moves freely.

Ok. Does anything have to be removed to do this? By the way, thanks for your help man. I really appreciate it!

An easy way to check the actuator is to run a hose from the turbo outlet nipple straight to the wg actuator, you will only get 8 or 9 lbs of boost

Ok tell me if this is hooked up right to test it. I have the line that is Tee'd into bov to intake manifold line directly onto wastegate nipple. This completely eliminates the mbc. Is this what your talking about? So now i should be on stock boost if the wastegate actuator is working? thanks.

Just to be sure just run a single hose from the wg to the turbo outlet, without a vacuum pump its an easy way to check that its not binding,I have to get offline now so best of luck

Well i did just hook up like stated above and it still worked. Boost holds solid at stock 10 psi. This means that my wastegate actuator is working fine right? Am I missing something else or does this mean the only thing left to be the cause is the MBC itself? That kinda angers me since it was a namebrand turbo xs one. This is all thats left though as the culprit right? thanks. matt
