My 1998 GSX is getting to the point that i feel is ready for a bigger turbo. I followed the site for the "Stage 1" upgrades and i am one part away from finishing it. If there is one thing that i hate the most is doing things over... This is where the problem occurs, what turbo would be good for me. Im looking for power and i would not mind some lag if nessisary. But at the same time i dont expect to run in the 10's. The 3 turbos im debating over are the EVO III 16G, a 20G, or a Hybrid T3/T4. I know that injector sizing will be an issue. If i go with the smaller 16G everyones saying to do 550's, but anything bigger go with 650's. A friend of mine is running mid 12's in his 1st gen talon, and he has a T3/T4 on it. The lag on the street is horrible i feel but i love the powerful punch it puts out once that turbo kicks in, so im conciterig buying one. At the same time i see that some sites say that a EVO III 16G is capable of putting down "400whp Easily" (dsmparts.com), but personally i do not belive it. I bought a 255lph fuel pump that i will be installing this weekend, and the next step is to add my injectors. CAN YOU PUT BIGGER INJECTORS IN WITH OUT THE USE OF AN SAFC??? this is the hold up... Some say yes others say no... If anyone could help me out on the problems i am facing please let me know. and if anyone has some input on any of these turbos please do the same.
