Need your opinion... Boost leak test

Well my brother has a 2000 Audi 1.8 turbo. Since he bought the car he has almost replaced every vacuum line and check valve that there is in the engine bay. So i told him to do the boost leak test like it is explained on this site that i have done at least 30 times in the past 2 years. My question is that it wouldn't hurt anything by doing the boost leak test right. I mean the way everyone explains it on here can be done on any car correct? Nothing is wrong with his car (knock on wood) but would feel better if i was told this can be done on any car.....

I have never done it on any other car but I don't see why it wouldn't at least be useful in ways that might show for example if the injector seals were leaking or if your intake gasket was leaking etc... my opinion would be that a BLT would be good for any Turbo/Non-turbo cars. It only looks for the pressure leaks in the system that can also effect Non-turbo cars I would assume.

yes indeed, this works on any other car too. Just make sure you dont over pressurize the system

it will work jus fine but its an audi there screwed up in the first place and theres really no fix to them unless you just sell it and buy a dsm! well unless its a r8!!!
