I dont know what happened to the thread I searched and searched both here and DSMlink forums and DSMlink wiki.

But basically I have to start tuning the car but I need to get my fuel trims set.

There was a guide on here how to set your fuel trims but I cant find it anywhere.
So I'm asking for you help. I need a kinda step by step help or a guide to do this so I can get ready for next sunday.

Right now I'm getting knock at 2500 and 3000 at low throttle. I remember reading about getting the car up to temp (180*) and drive it at low throttle while logging moving the air sliders then doing it agian. Now I'm just lost.

Thanks for the help guys.

Download V3 and use the MAF adj, it makes the suggestions for you in the template. Very easy to use! You want to first set your global and deadtime for your injectors and make sure you have everything else correct first. Verify timing is correct, no boost leaks and that your throttle is opening 100%.

First, log your TPS and throtpos. If they are not where they should be then adjust them. You can log these with the car off.

When using the V3 app you must log MAFRaw, closed loop and fueltrimcombined to use the MAFadj function. Take a cruise for 15 minutes or so. Stop the capture. Right click on the graph and go to the MAFadj function and use the template and save to ECU. Keep doing this until you get your LTFT's within +or- 5% of 0 It takes around 15 minutes for them to adjust.

If you are having problems at that low of an RPM I think your problem lies elsewhere.

Do you have a WBO2? If so, make sure you are logging that also. Once you get some logs post them up and I'll try to give you some tips from my little bit of knowledge.

You might want to pull timing at 2500 and up to help get rid of the knock if you haven't touched anything in the tune yet

Okay,

I have verified timing, and Throttle POS, and my global was set and right.

So basically your saying that v3 will set the LTFT's for me?

I do have a LC-1 I will run the wire to the ecu tomorrow to log it.

at 2500 its at like 14.3ish I think its a timing thing.

Have your verified ignition timing? How did the car run before you installed DSMLink? Did you notice any knock then? Did you have a logger to monitor knock?

Yes it will calculate the appropriate adjustments you should use and you just click "use template" and then "save all to ECU" and then just keep trying to get them closer and closer

Well I went out today and drove around and did the v3 part were I can get my maf in order.

I still have 9 on lo.

they are in order to the date one to long log and long log2

Please let me know what I have to do. I dont know what to do. I still get knock at 2500 at low throttle not WOT but It seems to be smoother in general.

I now have a little idle surge for about 1 second it goes up and down then up and down then holds. I have no FIAV and maybe I did something wrong.

oh and the AF is around 14.3 when I get knock at low throttle too. I took some timing out of it and it seem to go away faster.

So should I add fuel or take timing out around 2500?

okay well I went out today and did a couple more logs. The lo is down around 2% range or so but when I click the maf setup it just keeps moving it one way then back to the old settings on the next one. I really am starting to get a headache and this car is going to run off a cliff.

I'm tired of the knock at 2500 and 3k

I am tired of this F'n Car. I'm half tempted to sell the POS.

I got some new news that I cant belive that I overlooked.

I went to do a blt with my new BLTester and well when I went to remove the intake pipe I noticed that the maf wasn't sealed with the pipe and the lower part had about 1/8th inch gap so I was getting all that unmetered air in the car. So After the hockey game I will throw the laptop on it and see if that did the job but on my way home the CEL for knock didn't come on at all.

well I guess this thread is hopeless. No one will make an attempt to help.

I will put up two more logs of a pull to see if anyone has any ideas but I guess I wont get any replys and just add more logs with nothing to help. Cant expect anything for my own problems but help would be great.

I am seriously just thinking of selling the car because its such a piece of shit. I'm tired of this knock and tired of this car.

Go into the config options and go to the ALS/Knock tab. Change the TPS value to something greater than 0 (say 25%). It's probably just phantom knock if it's in the lower RPM range.

Okay, I will do that. What about the hard pulls that I posted today? I get knock around 5800 so should I add fuel or take timing out?

I didnt hook up my wideband yet to the comp.

If your running a stock timing map, that is about where it peaks at 24*, I would try to get rid of the knock by decreasing timing first.

After 1 day?

Dude. I have a thread on the friggin' Link forums, logs, relevant info, the whole 9 yards, and it has been unanswered for a month. ;)

Take it easy.

Brian is right about the knock thresholds. I use 3k and 30%.

Im going to go to the track tonight and first work on my 60' times because I haven't used anti lag before. then I'm going to shift as soon as I see knock then take time out until I can get down the strip with out knock.

Sorry I'm getting very frusterated.

Did you reprogram the yellow wire to output 0-5v? The yellow wire from the factory is for a narrowband simulator and it's output is 0-1v.

no...

I thought I read that I can use yellow or brown because both were a output.

I wanted to keep my wideband gauge too....

How does your wideband gauge get it's signal - the brown wire?

If so, you can use the yellow wire for the wideband output for logging. However, you'll have to follow the instructions on this page. Basically you'll want the "Analog Output 1" screen to have the values that are shown on the "Analog Output 2" screen when you open the program. Don't use the values shown in the link. This will make them both output the same value range.

Take note of the version check note I wrote in there.
