Just like the topic says, my trims don't move, the low trim is stuck at 118(90 gst) and the mid and high are stuck in 100. The 02 trims don't move they're just at 100, what's the range on the 02 trim? My car is stock except for a K&N filter, 10 psi. Also the car is knocking very highly up to the point where timing is being drastically pulled. Don't think is phantom knock since there are hardly any noises in my engine bay not even the lifters, only the injector firing. Thanks for your help guys, im really struggling with this, oh one more thing the 02 volts for the 90 should be where? is it between .8-.9 or regularly like the 2g .9-1 Thank you very much for your time and help

I'm having the same problem. I have a 90 talon awd. The ftrl, ftrm, and ftrh stay all at 100%. But my fto2(02 feedback trim) fluctuates between 180 and 199%. Does this have to do with the ecu or do I have to change some setting on my palm?

Mine don't fluctuate the low are at 118, mid 100, high 100 and 02 trim is at 100 doesn't move, i posted also at dsmtalk, lets keep each other updated if we could find anything. Thanks

From what you are describing it sounds as if your O2 sensor is going bad ar has gone bad. The trims are not changing because the O2 sensor is not cycling in closed loop when the car is warmed up to operating temp. My O2 sensor cycles when the car is warmed up, also my O2 trim cycles between 80% and 120% on my logger. Although it has taken weeks of street tuning and 9 pulls on a dyno to get it tuned to these numbers.

Wouldn't the 02 voltage be odd or not read accurate or at all if the 02 is bad? I get normal readings from the 02 volts. i read that in the 90's the correct voltage is from .8-.9 Im going to log today and see if the 02 volts cycle while reving. Thanks for your help.

I have a brand new o2 sensor. My o2 volts flucuate but I get no fuel trim readings. I'm going to try to pick up a friends ecu at the end of the week to see if that could be the problem. If not, I have no idea what it would be.

i have another question, please help me out, im getting knock really bad one too, in neutral when i rev the knock counts go up to 43 sometimes also my 02 volts don't fluctuate that much, they just go from .1 to .6 even when reving. Do i have phantom knock, something triggering this knock in neutral, also under load i get this high knock. thanks for your help in adnvance, i love you guys what would i be without you all

Knock counts in Neutral when reving the motor are no big deal.. However, knock during WOT runs is very bad. Knock while cruising at part throttle, is mostlikely phantom knock. Loose motor mounts, valve tapping, or a loose downpipe can all cause phantom knock. If you have not replaced the knock sensor yet, it could be picking up theses external noises and think they are knock. By the way, most of the time your O2 sensor will not cycle, while your car is parked in neutral, even when reving it. I have found that I have to drive my car for about 5 to 10 minutes then the O2's will cycle according to my logger.

I thought the 02 volts where suppose tu bounce around just like the air/fuel gauge does, i remember in my 2G when reved the went up to .9 then dropped, but on my 1g doesn't, when reved it goes up to .6 then drops, well also my 02 trims were cycling from 90's to 130's or so and fuel trims are weird, mid and high all stuck at 100 and low at around 96. After a little while i stopped the car and all the fuel trims were at 100 and not moving and the 02 trims didn't move either. and the 02 sensor volts were at like .06 and not cycling, weird performance here by the 02 sensor could this indicate that there's something wrong here.?? Thanks

Hey i was wondering if you guys have fixed this problem because my car does the EXACT same thing. Except i have full power untill like 4k then it just stops and wants to just no go any higher. It sucks really bad. Ive replaced all kinds of things. Anyone figure it out?

Phantom knock should be called random knock. It isn't usually predictiable and there are cases of it happening off idle when obviously there is no way it is detonation as car isnt' even on boost.I have this problem on my 92.Some got rid of it with new knock sensor.Likely the first thing to try. Some with new style lifters. Some by cleaning combustion chambers. Some by finding a loose motor mount and stuff like that.In my car I am betting on lifters.I have new ones and new knock sensor to install shortly.

Also for hopeless cases they make a knock elimination code for cars with eprom ecus.
I just got an eprom ecu so have that option now but it is still in the mail.Hoping between it and the new knock sensor and lifters my problems with phantom are gone. Now at wot if you have a lot of knock you either have too much boost, not enough octane ,bad tuning or
too small and intercooler.

just thought I'd add my little cheater method of getting an idea for your fuel adjustments for your trims....

when I first installed my 680s. I didnt even bother looking at my logger at first. I have an autometer A/F guage(aka disco light) and just added or subtracted fuel, via AFC, until the o2s started to cycle kinda normally.....from there I grabbed the logger and fine tuned my idle and part throttle.

hope this helps
