Need to rebuild engine. ### help

hey guys so i bought a 1995 talon tsi awd two days ago and now i need to rebuild the engine. I was wondering if anyone knows of any good kits? or if there really isnt any kits any recommendations on good but not super expensive pistons, rods, and bearings etc.?

what makes you deceide it needs a totall rebuild? is it really screwed up or somethin? theres a ton of rebuild kits, you could walk into the machine shop side of your local napa auto parts and buy the kit right now today. its gonna be "topline" brand which is cheap and less quality than factory. you could go to the dealership and maybe get lucky with alot of money to get all oem, all the advertised venders on here sell engine rebuild kits from mild to wild. go close to stock, all the way to higher compression/stroker. id say figure out what needs fixed on your motor now and go from there.

first... what are your goals, what do you want the car for? and what is your budget for the rebuild? do you have any supporting mods??

hey right now im really not a 100% sure what all needs to be done. There is a horrible engine knock and going to have a better look tonight. But if i end up haing to pull the engine most likely jus going to rebuild it. So i was trying to post a forum to see what people think on parts.

and my goals for the car are to just get it running properly again. I plan to do more mods later right now i need a car i can drive.

the awnser to your problems could be as easy as taking off your valve cover...

ok so the problem was a spun bearing...
