Need Some Help 1993 Eclipse GS FWD 2.0

Ok here is the deal I got this car 10 days ago and I am trying to find out what is going on here.
1993 Eclipse GS FWD 2.0. The car is a 1993, but the engine is ? some one has ground the numbers off the front of the motor I am sure it is a 2.0. and the timing mark is inside the belt. If haynes is right it is between 1990- 1992.
Also the vin # has a E in the 8th digit and i can not find any thing about it.

What are you trying to find out? Engines up to 94 are 6 bolt and after that are 7 bolt at the flywheel. Check with a Chrysler dealer to find out the meaning of the engine digit in your vin. The fact it's a GS tells me it's a 2.0 DOHC engine. Are you trying to find the timing marks to set timing? let me know and I'll try to help Rick
