Hello I recently bought a 94 Eclipse GS. Its a 1gb, N/A, front wheel drive, 5 speed. The previous owner did a crappy paint job and covered the info panel by the door and I don't have the manual for the car. I was wondering id there is any way to tell whether its a 1.8 liter or a 2.0. Thanks!

there should be some sort of identifier code on teh block of the engine. however its probably easier to figure it out this way: according to wikipedia, the 1994 and earlier cars didnt have the 420A engine so its either the 1.8L 4g37 or the 2.0L 4g63.

1.8L 4g37 will look like

Look under the hood. Basically, a 2.0 NT 4G63 will have "DOHC 2000" on the valve cover. A 1.8 will have a narrow valve cover with the spark plug boots visible and pointing towards the front of the engine.
