I am putting a 6 bolt block in my 95 GST....I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could get some information or if anyone has put 1G rods and 2G pistons in a 6 bolt block? What kind of boost and horsepower will it handle?

Also, has anyone ever put the 2.4l turbo engine out of the spyder in a 2g eclipse turbo? If so, what kind of mods are needed to do so?

Thanks
Robin

First off, yes 2G pistons on 1G rods are tried and true and they are part of Buscur stage 1 short block I believe. Personally I was considering the same thing but was turned off due to the fact when all the prices were final, I could get a set of Ross forged pistons for like $80 more, and I didnt have to worry about half-ass machine work. (Wake up in the middle of the night in cold sweats wondering if my torque specs are right.)

Second the 2.4 liter spyder is not a turbo HOWEVER, there are an assortment of stroker options available (2.1, 2.3, 2.4 and I thought I saw a 2.5 on magnus' website). Any reputable DSM shop usually has some sort of stroker option. Click on the sponsers icon at the top of the page and their are a few there.

I know that the 2.4L wasnt a turbo engine, but you can put a turbo on it, but the compression is higher I think.....I have the rods and the pistons already, so that is not an issue for me.....What about EVO rods, can you use them on 1g rods?
