Langley,
I went to adjust my shifter cables today and I noticed that only one of them has an adjustment part to it. The one closest to the shifter can't adjust. My Chilton's book says that both of them should be adjustable. Would that mean that one of my cables is wrong(wrong year?)? 93 2.0L 5-speed

your cables come in a set. if you follow them to the firewall you will notice that they are going through a bracket and a grommet. You have the right cables. I just replaced mine and discovered that the guy who had my car prior to me replaced the shifter and cables with the ones from a 92-92. so it was a two week ordeal getting them ordered and installed. and guess what, only the cable farthest away from the shifter has an adjustment on it.

are you sure?, because the 90 models are different than the 92-94's. once again, my manual says that both should be adjustable.

yea, im sure. My car is a 90, so first I ordered a 90 cable. when that diddnt fit, i loked in here and found pics comparing 90-91 shifterswith the 92-94. found out the I have the later, a 92-94 so I ordered those cables. they fit just great. (the cable closest tothe shifter is about 3 inches longer on the 92-94) Both sets of cables were straight from Mitsu, and BOTH sets were only adjustabable on the one cable farthest from the shifter.
