I am working on a GVR4 and one of the shifter cables on the transmission side has a boot torn. This is located directly where the cable mounts on the trans. This boot seems to work as a guide for the exposed cable to slide back into the covered portion of the cable. since this boot is damaged sometimes the cable gets hung up. Any ideas of patching instead of replacing is what i am looking for. Thanks

Looks bad i would find a replacement, the cover broke off, and the cable itself looks bad. How could you repair that, the plastic cover is broken happened before on my car i got some others from the salvage yard.
