Shifter Cable Problem

I got a problem. Today I decided to change my shifter and I stretched my cable out. Now I cant shift into my gears properly. Can anyone give me some tech. help because I dont want to go to the dealer to buy some new shifter cables. Im on a very limited budget.

JUST BUY SOME NEW CABLES!

Other than that, there is some adjustment on the shifter side, adjust that as far as you can. I dont see how you can stretch a steel cable without breaking other parts, I would think some shift forks would have let loose first.

You can try adjusting them, but that will only delay the problem.

I highly reccomend getting new cables or used cables that are in perfect condition.
New cables:
Scrow down until you find "Transmission and Driveline" and it's the second item listed.
