Edmonton,
Ive posted before about my several tranny problems (Second gear grind) and to make a long story short the tranny went in the shop three times. After the second time they were CONVINCED that it was not my tranny causeing the problems but something else. anyway, they just found out today that i had a bend or kink or something in my shifter cable right under my shifter. i guess they bent hte cable a little bit back and now it doesnt grind at all. they say that it wont last and that i should replace the cable anyway. has anyone ever heard of this happening? and is there anywhere besides satan where i can get the cables, cause wholesale from the dealser is 200 Canadian.

I have never heard of the cable being bent but I have snapped some. When I bought them they were only 90 American and wernt to bad to put in. I bought them new cause you never know the condition of junkyadr units. Your call.

yeah 90 bucks is a good price, is that for both? if so, from where? well the car is shifting pretty strong right now, but the mechanic insists it wont last long. but whatever, no need to rush.
