I have a simple question, one ive searched and cant find the answer to. I have a 6 bolt that i built from a short block, its going into my 95 talon tsi (fwd). the cylinder head I used is the one that was on the talon when I bought the car, it's a '95 head with the internal cas. That being said, since I'm using that head for the swap, wiring should be as simple as matching up the same colored wires on the crank angle sensor plug with the cam angle sensor plug? Maybe I'm over thinking this, but since both plugs have the same colored wires, and obviously the cam angle sensor plug is correct for my cilinder head, I should be able to just wire the 2 together and the car will run, right?

Thanks in advance,

Aj

Here is the link for the 1g in a 2g. Page 7 has the wiring diagram.

White wire from 1g CAS goes to Blue Wire on 2g Cam Sensor plug (rectangle plug) thats the only wire for that one.

Yellow wire from 1g CAS goes to Blue wire on 2g Crank Sensor Plug (triangle plug)

Black wire from 1g CAS goes to Black wire on 2g Crank Sensor Plug

Red wire from 1g CAS goes to Red wire on 2g Crank Sensor Plug

that's not quite what I'm asking. Does it need to be done with a 1g cas? or can I use the 2g cas and match up the colors on the wiring?

Use the 1g CAS that requires a connector and not just being hard wired to your rectory harness. So avoid the '90 style CAS. Get the wire harness that Magnus makes for the swap. The first time I did this was with a '95 GST and the write up/ How to article that they have on the Magnus site helped a lot, as well as some of the other members on here. My current 6 bolt I decided to buy their harness and it's awesome. The last one I built the harness myself.

thanks for the help everyone. I'm looking at a green top cas, hopefully that'll work.
