That's pretty hilarious. That's where the recirc. tube for the BOV should go. Can't really tell (I'm on my phone so the pic is tiny), but it looks like he put a knockoff HKS BOV not recirculated on there. If so, your probably gonna want to replace it with a new BOV and recirculate it (most will probably recommend just getting a stock 1g BOV). Someone else with a full keyboard can chime in and help you out more...

Yeah you definitly want to recirc that setup. If not you will get a stalling issue when pulling up to stop lights and a rich spot right whenever you shift. The factory ECU compensates for an extra blast of air the comes from the factory recirculated bov. If its not recirculating you will have a rich spot because that blast of air will be in the atmosphere not in the intake system. Pick up a 1G bov and stick it back on, or I believe you can get an adapter to recirc that HKS SSQV. Hope this all helps!

yes a 1g bov would be the better valve mostly because they can hold higher boost than a 2g's. But if you are going this route you are going to need a flange to use that valve on your upper intercooler pipe, seeing as you have a hks bov it don't just bolt up to the one you have on your car. There are plenty of vendors on this site that stock the flange just make sure it also comes with a gasket.

I forgot to add, The reason why a 1g is the way to go is it has been proven to hold boost up to 20 Psi before leaking. The 2g plastic POS has been known to leak at even stock levels. Who knows you are probably going to get this car running sweet an end up trading your g/f your car for this one :D
