need help removing driveshaft

were pulling my motor to put in a 6bolt off a fwd

we are having trouble taking out the driveshaft....what all do i have to remove to take out the engine?

driveshaft.....xfercase?

how do we do it too ???

yes im using the vfaq engine removal thing but the driveshaft part is unclear

would it be easier to pull off the xfer case?

You know you're not supposed to bump your threads, so please don't.

Take the tranfer case off and the driveshaft will fall out.

is it easier to do that or do it through the rear dif. cause if i pull the xfer case i have to drain it but if i pull out the axel i dont right?

If you keep it from tipping towards the output or input, it won't leak a drop. I guess it's just personal preference, but I'd rather take the T-case off. I usually replace the input and output shaft seals at the same time, so it's convenient for me.
