my car is making this weird knock when i tap the gas it goes away for a second so i thought it was a rod bearing so i pulled the oil pan and there were fine so then i thought it might be my lifters replaced the head with new lifters. it started making this knock after i took it in and relpaced the clutch and driver side axle im confused ive been dropin alot of money on nothing can some one help please

Did you check the thrust clearance while you had the pan off?

Sounds like a flywheel bolt or pressure plate bolt came loose.

what are the chances of a stretched rod and the piston hitting the head? the reason i ask is because the old head cylinder 3 has a ring around it but its not dented and all others is carbon biuld up

None.

That was from a head gasket leak.

OP, check your balance shaft bearings, if you still have them.

when you put in new lifters, did you use *revised* lifters?

no balance shafts. yes i use revised lifters and socked them in oil overnite
