Hi,
Just wanted to ask if someone here knows what oil line this would be called. Leaking at the seams and is very rusty. Noticed it while replacing a bunch of parts for maintinance.

Thank You,
Stephan T.

Turbo oil feed line, Mitsubishi calls it specifically "T/C OIL FEED TUBE" or simply "OIL FEED TUBE". There are actually two of these, the one you have pictured which connects to the oil filter housing and one connecting that piece and the turbo. The one pictured is part number MR299881 or MR204474; the one going to the turbo is MR299880 or MR161690.

There are flexible, braided, stainless steel feed lines available (check JNZtuning or ExtremePSI). It would be worth your time to compare the costs of one of these versus the OEM parts.

Hi, thank you very much for the amazingly quick reply!
Just one last thing. A bit ago I ordered a braided line from Extreme PSI (didn't realize it) but I got the feed line from the head. Would my best bet be to re order a line from the oil filter? I recall reading that the best location is from the oil filter anyways.

And just to confirm, would it be this that I would be ordering?

Thank You,
Stephan.

The feed location depends on what turbo you have and what it requires, pressure-wise. If you have the stock turbo for your car, the T25, feed from the oil filter housing. Read up for more info: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/turbo-system-tech/283578-lets-talk-4g63-turbo-oil-feed-supply-locations-all-turbo-brands.html. You can also search jusmx141's posts on turbo oil feed locations and find a bunch of great information.

Assuming you do have the original turbo, yes, that line should do just fine.

It's up to you,

1gs are fed from the head with out a problem.

You can do the head location with no problems at all.

The only difference is that, the Oil filter location is more clean which the oil comes before going internals (engine).

But, if you are using the head location.
Make sure you have the Bolt to for the head locations, which the stock bolt on 2gs are short, they only uses to plug the port, So you need the bolt as well.

If you don't have it, then buy one or get the other line to feed it from the oil filter housing.

Oops. Got my facts mixed up there. Forgot about the different locations they should be fed from (BB/journal). Thanks guys. Guess i'm gonna order the oil filter location one :p. Some times it pays off to take an extra seccond to look at what you are getting. No matter.

Thank You guys,
Stephan.
