I want to find a throttle body gasket made from the plastic thick aftermarket material for my new throttle body. I bought one for my intake manifold but I cant find them for the throttle body if you know where i can get it please help. post website where I can buy them.

thanks

I don't think that one exists. There was some discussion about a company that was going to make them for the 60mm 1g TBs but I'm not sure it ever happened. That was in the Vendor section so go check there.

Why do you need it though? If you're worried about heat then just stick with the thermal barrier at the IM and remove the coolant lines going to your TB and block off your FIAV. If you want a gasket that can be reused then I can understand but for the money and the effort in finding one just buy a couple of standard papery ones.

You won't be reducing much or any temps. With the IM, you will reduce them a little but there is still heat going through your metal bolts and studs into the IM. The same will happen for the throttle body even after removing all coolant lines from the TB. You won't gain performance out of it if that is what you are trying to do.

If you just want a reusable gasket, there is an OEM metal gasket you can get. I had one on my car 100% stock.

What do you want to know about it? It came stock on my 97 and it's a dark gray/black material as of metal. It has rubbery protrusions to help with sealing. If I was at home, I'd be able to take some pictures as it's on my spare TB right now. For the 1g TB, I was sent the papery gaskets.

Just that it was only for the 2g tb. I had never head of a factory metal tb gasket. Thanks.
