I just got my SRS Catback in the mail (ebay) and i'm having trouble hooking it up. I put my Option Import (Megan racing) on the other day. The main problem I am having is with the adapter for the catback to bolt up to the stock downpipe. It reduces (i can deal with that) so i had to use skinnier bolts to get it to fit on the 3" downpipe. But it isn't clocked at the right angle to bolt up to the Catback! The adapter is only about 5* difference while the downpipe is about 40*! When researching this I read that they would bolt up pretty easily, so what did others do to solve this issue?

The dp says bolt on (to stock catback i would assume) and...
The catback says it will bolt up to stock dp,
So theoretically they should bolt together no problem.

Help me out ###!

Thanks

Edit: O and the last hanger on the section after the downpipe is on the wrong side. I see i can switch the rubber part. So i wonder who is at fault here: the downpipe or the catback. Maybe i will bolt my stock catback up to see if that will work.

I posted in your DP discussion, the same thing I will post here...

I bought mine from Punishment racing, and it is the same exact DP. They welded the cat-back flange wrong on the downpipe so it doesn't mate up to the cat-back. You may have to cut the welds on it and have it rewelded to fit.

Clock the downpipe flange to the correct angle and re-weld it. I'm a big fan of the bolt holes being at 9 and 3. The stock downpipe was clocked at that same stupid angle, which mated fine to the stock catalytic converter, whose rear flange was clocked properly.

im going to have a whole new adapter piece made because it necks down to 2.5 inches so i will elliminate the restrictions, killing 2 birds with one stone :)

THanks for the help

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but I just wanted clarification on something. The Megan DP can be installed and still keep the stock catback exhaust right? I am wanting to get the DP but I don't have the chedder to get the catback too, and I want to get my wideband installed so I figured get the DP and only have to weld the bung once. That and getting rid of the cat is a bonus for me.

So installing megan DP with stock catback exhaust yes or no?
