Hello I have a 95 Eclipse with an unrepairable ECU. I've looked all over the country on marketplace for parts cars, junkyards, and of course eBay and google. I just can't seem to find my specific ECU. Looking for help finding one, or if anyone has a parts car. Thanks! anything helps

1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS 420a 2.0L, with manual transmission. Part number on ECU: P5269656

1995 had an exclusive part, unlike other year models. That's why they're harder to find, however RockAuto has them in stock. Manual and auto options. Federal emissions only though, but I don't imagine that being a problem since the car is 30 years old?

Yeah I've accidentally bought the wrong one twice now. Learned that the hard way. I did see them on rock auto but didn't see the part number I just assumed it was wrong too. Thanks I'll check it out I couldn't imagine the federal emissions only being a problem either.

What makes you think that the ecu is bad?

How did you verify the old ecu is bad?

I've made a post about it here before but idk if you're able to find it.

I got the car off a guy who rebuilt it after sitting for 15 years and got to this one issue with the CTS and gave up and sold it. I bought it over a year ago and have been trying to fix it ever since, verified all wiring, replaced sensors (CTS over 15 times), compression test, timing, fuel pressure, coolant leaks, thermostat, bypassed the sensor, tried using a resistor instead, but nothing even made a slight difference. So I sent the ECU to a repair shop in Illinois and they said there's a problem with the CTS circuit but they can't fix it

There is a guy on Facebook who parts out DSM’s and his page is kannapolis auto parts, it use to be called miller import parts.

If anyone would have a used ECU it would be worth checking with him first.

Although for the amount of time and effort into the car it may be worth just switching to a standalone megasquirt ECU setup

Hello everyone. I have a manual trans 1995 Eclipse RS 420a non turbo. The ECU needs replaced and i've been striking out so far. OEM part number is 5269656, i've tried 5269658, 5269730, a cardone 79-141, and i now have an actual 5269656 but it's still not running it right. What can I do? Anything helps. Thank you

OEM ecu has internal CTS circuit fault. It will run with that ecu but only with the CTS unplugged but obviously in limp mode. That's how i know it's not the car

Hello I have a manual trans 1995 Eclipse RS 420a non turbo. It needs a good ECU and i've been striking out so far. OEM part number is 5269656, i've tried 5269658, 5269730, a cardone 79-141, and i now finally got my hands on an actual 5269656 but it's still not running it right. What do I do? Anything helps thank you

Original ecu has internal CTS circuit fault. It will start up and run with original ecu but only with the CTS unplugged so runs super rich
