Hey guys,

I am new to this forum and to DSM's I have a 1998 Eclipse RS With a bad valve. I found a Ported head with everything except the cams. But its off a neon. I was wondering is there any difference in the two heads. Any help would be greaty appreciated.

Thanks

can't use it.. the head is backwards compared to the 2gnt.
Well, it flows backwards, anyways. Still... no dice. Try again.

Does anyone know of a good shop inchicago, that can work on the head that won't try to screw me. I heard that the most I should be paying is around $300. There is a shop that is asking 700 because they need to send the ead out.

You can have it done cheap, fast, or right. Pick any two. If you are in the Chicago area, I highly recommend you call up Exile Racing Technologies. 847.487.1345 I personally know Chris, Michael and Steve (the owner). They built my head to the hilt and I would trust them completely with anything 420A related. They are stand up guys who will shoot you straight. I've spent over $2000 on my engine at ERT and would gladly spend another $2000 if there was anything left to do to it. :rocks:

Head over to www.2gnt.com and look for a used head. I just had to get one a month ago and got one in good condition, needed nothing besides a cleaning and resurface. Only costed me 120 + 50 I think for cleaning and resurface.
