you need to have a cat or straight pipe in order to connect your dp to your catback right?...or are there some brands that have the dp connect to the catback?

It depends on what Cat-back that you get. Some have adapters to bolt up to the stock downpipe. such as apex's cat back Im sure a muffler shop wouldnt charge much to make an adapter, that is another option. what cat-back are you considering?

some downpipes "cat eliminators" are longer than a regular dp... so you don't really have a cat or a straight pipe, but only because the straight pipe is buiilt in...
know what i mean?
