I installed a narrowband yeah its not a wideband get over it, but its only reading lean, not fluctuating. help?

What do you have? That shows lean if its a blinky light no point, get over what? Something is wrong, i installed one then i threw it away once i found out it was pointless, it was lean rich back and forth. Pissed because i could have got a wideband with the money i spent on rather than junk that didnt work, your going to get opions on it.

tapped into ecu

What? Do you mean you installed a narrowband O2 GAUGE for some completely unknown reason? The signal's absolutely useless afterall.. Maybe your O2 sensor is bad, which O2 sensor did you tap in to? Maybe your gauge doesn't update as fast as your O2 sensor fluctuates, or maybe it's trying to average the retarded 0/1 signal it's getting. What gauge is it? And moreover, why?

mm We just had a discussion about these things and a real tuning device the Wideband. to your question its a wiring issue or a gauge problem.

its an autometer, its wired to the rear o2 sensor off the ecu, but I have heard that sometimes they dont read until the 02 sensor has warmed up. and yeah its pointless but it was 20 bucks and i wanted something to fill the hole

sounds like its working normal narrowband is dam near worthless you cant tune with them there to touchy at idle its lean then wot its rich boost comes on and goes back to lean thats what mine did and i tried it in several different spots too with the same results just delayed the farther down the exhaust.

Ohhh you bought a gauge that's only purpose is to be a light show!!!! Red green red green red green... Just get a wideband and that's going to tell you something that's happening in your car, but until then enjoy the show ;)

i got it to work. yes i know i should get a wideband blah blah blah i dont care. i bought what i bought and made the best of it.

Well as long as it works for you, what does it do to work is it on lean or rich? Blah blah blah, you made a post about getting over something? I still dont understand what how were able to help you, its either going to be bouincing around or not.

I'm just getting irritated becasue everyones saying its just a pile. I know its a light show, it was $10 to fill the hole, I'm a little really short on money so cant afford a wideband. I found my problem and its fixed.

No this thread is a waste of time...LEAN on your narrowband doesnt mean anything without an exact number. You could be reading 15 at idle and your gauge is showing lean..I dont get this thread...

It's like an oil pressure gauge with no numbers indicatin the actual oil pressure..., you cant read afr's effeciently with a narrowband so what is the gauge for???

I thought you were done, its simple when you post a thread your going to get responses if you like them or lot and opinons of how we feel about products or items and since no one uses them here, what do you expect, it seems you already knew that when you posted get over it, what did you expect from us, i dont understand it how we could have helped.
