1: that's the power steering oil "hose".....

2: don't think they are expensive....

3: not hard to replace

4:no problem :thumb:

1.) Ralph.

2.) Thirty bucks, two dollars, eighteen cents.

3.) Not hard to replace, but bleeding the power steering system must be done afterward. Your new shop manual will explain how.

4.) That hose leaking is why you need a new alternator.

Yes, you are all correct, that is the high pressure power steering hose.

Better idea... Take it and all attached to it, and throw it away!!

Get a 1.8L manual rack and pinion. Benifits are as follows.

1) You gain HP thats good, cause your NT needs it.

2) You get better fuel milage less perasidic drag.

3) You drop wieght from your car, also good faster!!

4) You get bigger arms from cranking the wheel harder (Chick magnet hey?)

Its all good....

Thanx
Brad

Would this manual rack work in a AWD car too.

hahahahehhehehehehehe bwahahahahah......sorry i just got back from the dodge dealership where i got a quote on that hose...the thing must be gold plated or something....cause the quote i was given for the

**"PS Pressure hose part#: MB553134 was, i kid you not....$430.00!!!!!!!!!!!"** (the service guy even got a kick out of it)

is that the right hose(refers to part number)???? cause that price was a little more than "Thirty bucks, two dollars, eighteen cents" haha.

Avoid Satan at all costs. They wanted over $400 for a CAS...I went to the junkyard a mile down the road from the dealer and got it for $40.
