Alright i know there are a million threads on 4g63 6bolt bolck vs n/t block. im going to pull a junkyard motor and head to build and all the junk yards around only have n/t im planning on running forged pistons so i know the oil squirters are not that important. so should i look for a turbo block or should a n/t block be alright

I N/T block will do just fine. I'm using one myself.

You are more likely to find better N/T blocks than Turbo blocks anyway. The squirters are overrated. My dad ran a N/T block for over 1.5 years without any issues.

Okay, because one of my buddies ownes a shop and he was building a motor out of parts laying around and all he had were N/T pistons. We slapped them in there and dropped the motor in a 1GA. I forgot what else we had done to it but we got 450awhp out of that motor.

Two weeks and 250 miles later it threw a rod haha!

The engine block N / T 4G63 is the same as the 4G63T, different pistons (compression) and has a worse 7bolt shaft, connecting rods and main bearing shells .... and so it is almost the same engines

1G N/T pistons 10:5 for Europe...We have 150hp

Lets not make this a 6-bolt to 7-bolt comparison thread.

You mean 10.5:1? That's interesting, I've never head that before.

Yes.
Mitsubishi in Europe gave higher compression pistons, due to lower restrictions than in the U.S.. Our engines are naturally aspirated 150 hp in Europe and the U.S. 1G GS is probably 130 as I recall. We here in Poland, with N / T 4G63 draw / do the 170-180 horses. Camshafts, connecting rods, lightweight flywheel, head provender, manifolds, exhaust, EcuMaster det III and Map sensor instead of the flowmeter. But it is expensive, almost as the founding turbo 4G63 N / T but it gives you more fun.

We also have a strong DSM turbo so it was not that only the GS version with us

My English is not too good so you have a problem to understand me

Very interesting. Your English is pretty good, better then some of our other newer members.

I've ran 2 N/T blocks for big horsepower builds. My ONLY complaint about it, is the lack of a proper bung for a knock sensor in the stock turbo location. I had a machinist weld on a bung to the block and you can't even tell it was added on.

That's interesting. My N/T 6 bolt came with the knock sensor bung already installed.

Where did you get it from? Every single 6 bolt n/t block I got from a DSM never had a bung. I've heard others say the same thing, but I've personally never gotten a N/T block with a threaded bung for the knock sensor in the exact same location as a turbo block.

It was the stock engine in my 1991 Eclipse GS. I wonder if there is some sort of pattern as to which ones came drilled and tapped and which ones didn't.

I bought a galant vr4 that had a completly stock n/t 6-bolt in it, but it had a knock sensor on the block. I also have a n/t block in my talon, and the knock sensor bung was there.

For infos, i have 4 N/T bloc in my garage.
2 4G61
1 4G67
1 4G63
All's bloc come from French car and has Knock sensor installed ( also knock detection board on ECU ).
Also i have the oil squirters on each bloc...

On a 1989 mirage 4G61 1.6Liter, the O2 sensor is missing!
Yes no sensor at all or wiring for this...
No bracket for the connector on the water pipe.
No bung provision on the Ex mani.
This car run like a crap with a K&N filter :banghead:
On another Mirage but 1990 the O2 sensor are present.

European import car mystery i think
