this may sound dumb but its what i'm doing, this will be my thread for documenting as well as asking a million questions because i'm a super noob. today we pulled the motor and took the head off. i'm swapping EVERYTHING from the 2g over to the 1g block that's possible. we are going to take the head to a local machine shop tomorrow to get checked, looks like the pistons slammed into the valves so i will be needing those. to my surprise the HKS cam gears came with the actual camshafts, wasn't expecting that because it wasn't listed when i bought it. the reasons for keeping the head its very nice looking, hks cams, roller rockers, crower springs and retainers. i had the NT block decked and bored EVERYTHING balanced, and im putting in wiesco forged pistons. also eliminating balance shafts.

from what i was told the previous owner knew the motor was knocking and was going to go out, so he turned the boost up and was hitting around 30 psi. i'm glad he did because i got this car for a steal with all the parts.
feel free to comment and i will have MANY questions i'm sure once we start swapping parts over
thanks John
