Ok guys... 6 bolt engine n/a swap to turbo?

Alright, I searched and searched, but couldn't find a post where someone has done everything I want to do. Keep in mind through this entire post that I am NOT going to turn this car into a modded speed demon. This will be just a daily driver at stock boost levels.

Situation is this, I just bought a 97 GST Spyder with a bad engine, and it has the auto tranny. Can't find a rebuilt 7 bolt short block engine for it anywhere near me. I also don't really want to rebuild the engine that is in it, but I may end up going that route.

So, I'm looking into going with a 6 bolt. However, I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for a rebuilt turbo engine, which seems to go for a premium. I want to purchase a 6 bolt 4g63 n/a shortblock, bolt on my 2g turbo heads, manifolds, turbo, etc. I also understand I'll need to purchase the IPT adapter kit to mate this engine to my auto tranny.

Going by Magnus's site, I think I can do this, but wanted to get some clarification. Will I need any other parts to make this happen? Can I even use a 89-94 na shortblock for this? I would buy a complete na engine with a 6 bolt flywheel already on it.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
 
Thanks for the reply, from your post in the other thread I assume you swapped pistons over to the na block. The thing is, since the turbo I'll be bolting on is much smaller than the 14b, I figured I could get away with it just fine. 1st gen turbo motors are pushing 7.8 compression, vs 8.5 for the 2g engines. From what I've read about the 1g na engine, is that it has 9.0 compression. That's not a whole lot of difference between 8.5, and only running stock boost pressure.

This car is intended to be my daily driver to work, so I can afford to have some downtime on my other car, a Stealth TT. From what I've learned on that car, there are guys running the na 6g72 block with twin turbos with good results.

I just want this to be as simple a swap as possible, if I do go this route.
 
It is not the compression that you have to worry about it is that the pistons aren't made to handle boost. When my friend turbo his NA 4G63 he ran 9 Psi with no problems but I wouldn't go any higher than that. Your best bet would be to by the NA block and rebuild it with turbo parts.
