Just dropped my 99 eclipse off tonight to get a 6 bolt swap.
I went with
JE pistons .20 over
ross rods
clevite bearings
b/s removal
keeping my 2g head (its already a performance head)
act 2100 clutch it w/ fidanza flywheel

let me know what you guys think..

For reliability I would drop the Fidanza and get an ACT Streetlight. I bought a fidanza in the past. Bolts will back out and PP will also get loose over time and heat cycles. If you never launch your car and don't heat up the clutch then you would be ok with a fidanza.

Neither.

I recommend OEM Std./Oversize pistons....screw the $Xxx.00 crap and get something bone stock reliable, since you won't be going to the track.

7.8:1 OEM 1G pistons are good for BIG BOOST with the least amount of detonation of all the CR pistons you can get.

I use stuff till it pukes THEN I'll upgrade it....this is all my opinion too.

Skip the rods too...1G rods make over 500whp on a daily basis on soo many cars its stupid to get X rods if your not going to seriously campaign the car at the track.

Just get a JDM block and swap your top end on and your good to go.
