Checking my engine to see if my gasket cover was cracked when I came across this wire next to my battery and I never noticed it before can anyone identify it?

So 2 weeks ago I found a mysterious wire that was in the hood of my car and I still have no idea what is is but I followed it and it gets worse because this wire runs to the back of my car does anyone know what it could be?

My guess would be a fuel pump power source from a previous rewiring but that's not a turbo model. Could be an amp, but it's pretty thin gauge.

That's not to say somebody still didn't want to power their fuel pump directly off the battery like the common turbo mod.

If you chased it, where did it end up? I mean, keep following it until you find the end. You're the only one who can answer where a non-factory wire goes on your own car.

Based on it being paired with speaker wire and signal wire, it's almost definitely for a trunk mounted amplifier. The end is probably tucked under the carpet somewhere. Though it is a smaller gauge than I'd recommend, I take that with a grain. I've literally seen stranded 14AWG for a power source.

If it were for the fuel pump, you obviously couldn't run the car with it disconnected, so that should be ruled out quickly.
