Got my first order of Deutsch stuff today; Crimper and some connectors.

I tossed it into an organizer to keep everything well, organized :p

I also got some F6 braided sleeving, heat shrink, electrical tape, adhesive wall heat shrink (for any connections in the harness it self) and a cheapie hot knife for cutting the sleeving.

The F6 Sleeving is pretty damn cool I must say, it's split like split loom so it's very easy to install over the wire. Then you just put some heat shrink over the end, shrink it down and your done.

So I need to order more connectors now. For the fuse box harness and engine harness. Need to figure out/decide if I'm going to have a flange mount plug in the firewall or not.

Thanks. I can't wait to start playing around with the crimper. Thing is freaking beefy too.

I've got to order more connectors.

I did a wire tuck removal this go around i found out a lot i will acnever need so ill be redoing the one i have now for my tsi project, amazing how much ive cleaned up my bay. i just removed the ac connector because i dont have ac i just got a plug for it.

There's so much stuff that can be removed wiring wise and easily too.
When you take the bumper off a turbo 2G there's a wiring harness that goes along the rad support on the out side, that's all ABS wiring! That was a major contributor to my pile of removed wire.

I'm planning out other connectors I need so I can go ahead and order some more. I love these things.

Thanks man! Your brothers and Chris (16g-gsx) were my inspiration. I've actually been picking your brother's brain quite a bit about various things, I still need to get more connectors though. I think I will be able to run a firewall connector between the shift cables/heater core.

LOL. I usually use heat shrink on almost everything I connect.

I'm going to run a Glenair firewall connector, it's been decided. I'll be getting the kit from Chasebays just to make it easier on myself; I might be paying more but it comes with everything.

Ordered another batch of Deutsch connectors to start the fuse box and other various connections on the car. I'm also going to order the Chasebay's firewall plug and mount plate this coming week.
Chase Bays Mil Spec Connector Kit - Universal Chase Bays - ChaseBays.com

Hopefully I can get out to the car by the end of the month and start laying out the harness.

Why use that Chase firewall plug when you can get an extremely similar Deutsch connector for much less cost?

I like the look of it. I know I over paid for it but ah well. Only thing I would buy from them (nothing wrong with Chasebays, I just don't need anything else from them).

I ordered it yesterday.

Yea but it's mil spec LOL.
I know it's a Glenair plug but I couldn't find it on there site to buy from them. Ah well.....at least everything else will be cheaper from here on in (apart from my ARC-2).

Without my wide band and some other things added, over 40. I'd have to look at my note book to get a real count but it's down in the shop.

For the price of that connector from chasebays I think I am going to just do multiple deustch connectors with some sort of a custom fab bracket right at the fire wall.

I also think I will be intergrating as much as I can into my harness like you did. But I have a lot of changes to make to my car first.

I'm sure if you dug through the Glenair catalog you could find one that will work and not pay as much.

More Deutsch plugs in this bi***!

Cannon plug for the fuse box.

All the connectors I've got collected so far. When I ordered the 2 cavity connectors I buggered up and ordered 1 receptacle and 4 plugs, should have been 4 receptacles too. All well, I'll fix it on my next order.

Hopefully gonna dive into moving the fuse box this weekend.
