Well, i just now got to pulling the intake tube from the compressor housing to inspect it after the hydrolocking it went through in september. The corners of the inducer blades are completely rounded off about 3/4 of an inch in radius WOW! The amazing thing is there's no more or less shaft movement in any direction than there use to be and the turbo is still as good as the day it went on as far as the CHRA is concerned..that's why i put garrett tough in the title 
So I only need a new compressor wheel or wheel & housing upgrade..along with a balance to get the turbo back to 100%.
ON the down side i still haven't changed motors, put new bearings in this one or anything as far as that's concerned because of money being tight, because my job is very seasonal
. The knock is still there heavily anytime i'm in a fair amount of boost or over 4500 RPM. I bought new rod and main bearings for it but have been afraid to put them in out of the fear of them doing no good and having the motor be shot still and the 100 bucks i spent on bearings that could have gone in my spare motor would be wasted.
