Well I got my 680cc injectors. They look nice but they wont fit the fuel rail. The oring fits fine it is just that the injector plastis behind the oring is to big thus the injector will not slide into the rail. I will have no problem selling these injecotrs for the money I have in them but I would like to make them work. Any ideas? The numbers on the injecotrs are:
6144 17113814

Are they rx7 injectors by any chance?I had problems fitting mine into an engine I built(then sold).

Here are the phone pics. Sorry they suck but you will get the idea. It is hard to see but on the rail side the top injector has this hard plastic piece that inhibits you from putting the injector in the 4g63 rail. They fit great into a 420 rail though.

I was told they are rc injectors. But I cant tell for sure. Yes they are used but on a 420a. Putting oil on the new seals will do no good. The injector is made to big for the rail. The actual injector(hard plastic) wont fit in the rail.

Those dont look like rc's.Rc's look totally different and have a big rc sticker on them(LOL).

Those look just like my delphi 650s from FP. Mine fit fine, but I can't really tell since the top pic is fuzzy.

This is how my FIC 750s are installed in a 91 4G63 rail. The injectors look alike to me.

Yes they do look alot alike. Wonder why mine wont fit. You think I could buy a aftermarket fuel rail and have better luck?

If mine fit, I don't see why yours will not. The plastic does not need to go into the rail, only the seal needs to be inserted. The spacing on the injectors is different and I think this may be throwing you off. Look how close the injector body is to the head. I think the injectors will work. Check it out again.

Edit: I was reading your other thread, logging runs are generally done in 3rd gear, I know there are roads long enough at Ft. Leonard Wood, that place is huge!. The ghetto chinese place on the main road into the fort is bomb.

Edit #2: Good call Steve. I will search this also. I bought the injectors used. Thanks

The Delphi injectors need to be modified to fit. You might want to search he archives for pictures of what the modified version for DSMs look like. Note that in your pictures your missing both the o-rings and the insulators that fit on the injector.

The part number 17113814 matches the 65 lbs/hr Delphi/Rochester injectors.

I just found out these are delphi injectors right before I read your post. I took the orings off for the pic to compare the injectors better. I will try to find the delphi modification. Thanks Steve,
Sam

Edit: Did some searching and came up with nada. Can someone throw me a bone here.... I never knew throwing in some injectors would be so hard.

Dood that Chinese place is the shizznital snip snap snip. I eat lunch there at least twice a month. I had to do the pulls on post so second was all I could do.

Ok here is where I am at. Apparently the FIC injectors have a different o-ring kit then the oem style injectors. I ordered the kit from dsm motor sport. I guess I will have to wait and see.

They are they same injectors just that one was machined down. I had the same problem, I had to take my time and tighten the fuel rail evenly. I talked to the guy at FIC and he told me that they machine them down to fit our fuel rail like factory. I have had mine for a while now with no problem just a hassle when tightening down. If someone could mic their injectors and give some measurements you could go to a machine shop with a lathe and have yours done. Good luck

You could buy the O-ring from a local parts store

Well I happen to have a lathe in my shop here at work. I just got done spinning those bad boys down. For those that care the stock width is 10.75mm. I am just waiting for my injector seals to come in now.:thumb:

selmerguy How did the injectors fit after you got the new injectors seals for FIC?

To clean this up abit the injectors fit perfect after my fic seals came in. FYI FIC and Delphi injectors use two orings on the fuel rail side. It looks like the same lower seal as stocm but the land for the orings on my injectors is bigger then the stockers. I guess thats why they use two.
