I am feeling like an idiot for asking but apparently my word play isn't pulling up a thread.

2g with a 6 bolt swap. Purchased a universal O2 sensor to replace the exploded wideband sensor that was in place of the o2. My question is, where does the universal sensor get wired into on the harness?

We replaced the harness from what was in the car because the previous owners hacked all plugs off they decided to not use. So to properly fit the o2 sensor and add in the wideband, we got a new harness. However, I have no clue where the upstream plug is to wire into it. If someone can upload a pic or link to a forum, I'd be grateful!

You will need to repin the universal, using the connector off of your old OEM one. (I use a universal one, too)

What are you going to use for the wideband? Going to use the rear O2 input on the ECU?

From what I am remembering my husband said something about welding in a bung and placing the new wideband there. However, I do not even have an old plug from the broken wideband sensor, the sensor was just bare wires hanging when I got it. So now the question is, what do I do?

You can order weld on bungs off the Internet, you just need to know the thread pitch of the sensor you intend to thread into it, the stock o2 sensor thread pitch is M18x1.5 not sure if thats the size of the universal one you have but it's an example.

Also it would help to know what brand the wide-band gauge you have is, for example, innovate, or aem, etc.

This is the sensor that is giving me grief at the moment.

As far as wide band I believe it was innovate that came in the car (battery is dead so I can't turn the gauge on to read a logo)

if its an Innovate, the 02 sensor wires should run to a controller box. It will say what 02 sensor it is. If it is, look online on their website and get directions. A wideband o2 will not plug directly into your harness..

Correct. That part I understand, which is why we replaced the sensor (also it was exploded, turbine wheel took it out) however, since I am impatient and want my car running as of a month ago, I purchased a universal sensor. That sensor doesn't come with a plug nor do I have a spare plug laying around. The previous harness for the car had the o2 sensor plug cut off (one of the reasons I replaced the entire engine harness) so since it's a 2g harness going on a 1g engine I am having difficulties locating the plug that is on the harness to see if I can even make a match from a random plug on the old harness.

Basically I am looking for the plug on the 2g engine harness. Where it is supposed to be doesn't really help me (half my harness is just laying over my fender yet) and Google hasn't done much for pictures. I'm hoping this weekend to tear into it again and this "newb moment" will set me back.

It was also mentioned to place the rear o2 sensor where I am trying to put the new one and to get a "dummy sensor" to plug into the rear harness to avoid codes and then place the wideband sensor in.

Thinking this may be an easier option

Front O2 sensor wire is A-94.
if you can Id connectors on the harness you will eventually find where the o2 connector should be.
