My First DSM

Hello this is my first DSM it's a 97 Eagle Talon TSi. I'm not such the DSM type of a guy since my 2 other cars were a 90 Si CRX and A 92 LS DA. Purchased for $900 at a used car lot. It came with the Eclipse wing and that was pretty much the only mod. I am a newbie and is unfamiliar with the car but I do have some plans for it.

Yea there the stock Talon hubcaps. I removed them so it's just steelies.

Lol Not for sale. I'm not to sure about the hubcaps are they suppose to have alloy rims?

Yeah all TSI awd/fwd GSX/GST came with alloys from the factory....unless I was unaware of some special few that didn't.
Having a turbo is considered to be a premium option at the time so it usually came with other premium options.

That my friend is no tsi. The fact it has a n/a 420a engine with no turbo should be the first clue. Still not bad for $900. body looks pretty straight, and the engine bay looks untouched. How many miles?

Anyways, don't feel bad, you got yourself a car for $900 that seams to be in pretty good shape.
I think it's a great price, even for a non turbo 2g.

the 97 neon rims (used to own one) gave it away for me. Not a bad looking car though. too bad it was not a turbo though. I would have been askin..... who in their right mind would put stock neon wheels on a talon turbo and how did they fit? crazy what some people will try to tell you.

Thanks for all the love peeps. Like I said i'm not to familiar with the DSM scene and I knew it wasn't boosted but everyone tells me that it's weird that it's not boosted. From what my friend told me the engine was swap so the 20,000 miles isn't correct. I had a feeling this was boosted at one time just thinking. I plan on doing a full Apexi exhaust and Tein springs by next week. In a month a too I want to get this car boosted.

Youve got an esi, not a tsi. The pictures you uploaded in the galllery are of a 420a, which is the non turbo motor.

That's a pretty good deal. I've had my fair share of Honda's as well. My first car was a 95 civic dx, mint with no rust or dents for $1000. Gotta love deals.
