Whats up guys? Well it's that beautiful time of year when the birds sing, the light shines & i get my income tax return check in February :D ...This year i hope to have enought (save and the check) to be able to scavanger up a turbo kit for my 420a....Here's what i have so far on my list:

- t3/t4 turbo w/ an internal Wastegate…$679
- Front Mount Intercooler w/ custom piping…$200, I will do the research on cost, but does anyone have an idea of how much will piping run me?
- Manifold for 420a…included in price for the turbo
- Custom 3” Down-pipe connecting to a 3” DP Back Exhaust $200
- Oil feed/return line for turbo…included in price for the turbo
- 1G bov…anywhere from $20-40
- Missing Link…$60
- Walbro 190lph fuel pump…$80
- Vortech SFMU…$150
- Boost Gauge (I already have a a/f gauge & oil press gauge installed) $40
- All necessary couplers, nuts, screws, fuel/vacuum lines, other obvious things…Misc $60
- Stock turbo dsm injectors (450cc’s)…$FREE or $20 (Depends on my friends mood hehe)
- Manual Boost controller…$50

Will Be Done over Christmas Break:
- 57mm tb (getting the stock one ported soon)
- IM p&p

These are the Current Engine Mods I have on my car:
- CAI (Useless when I get the turbo hehe)
- Header Back Exhaust (Again Useless when I get the turbo)
- Header (Again Useless when I get the turbo)
- Af/x udp
- Cam Gears (I need to install but hey I already purchased them hehe)
- Apex’I S-AFC II (tuned, will need to retune once I get the fp & fi)
- MSD 8.5mm Wires
- NGK Plugs
- Zex Wet Kit (I’m not retarded haha, I will not use this in conjunction with the turbo until I get forged internals, I guess it will sit there and look fantastically purple hehe….Will use it as a Intercooler Sprayer in the future)
- Purge kit (also needs to be installed)

Well what'd you guys think?

Humm, what do you estimate your total price is going to be for all parts? And how much is going to have to custom fabbed? (as in not direct bolt up.) This idea intrigues me.

i dont think you can use stock turbo injectors on our cars without some work. I may be wrong though.

No i am almost 100% sure you can use stock turbo injectors in our cars....

As for price, some prices are listed next to it, the fmic I am lucky enough to have a friend who is upgrading hehe....The turbo, manifold & internal wastegate i hope to find a deal on (saw one a while back on ebay for $650 all new plus shipping) but i stuipidly did not write the seller down....I will find one, i have a brother who know's alot of people I am actually talking to him right now & he's going to call in some favors in for me (yes i know sounds Godfather-like but hey we are a regular italian family  )

Does anyone know where a sfmu would be purchased?

Sorry brain fart, the turbo is made by turbonetics the manifold is not.

Now if this works i will be uploading a picture of the manifold hehe.

That is a picture of a manifold for the 420a. I do notice that flange and as I went back on the web-site I noticed they did not have a picture for the manifold I am getting (internal wastegate); however they had the one I posted, and I put it up for a sake of comparison.

Haha you logged onto tuners to say that when we were discussing it on AIM hehe :p

i had to publicly say it, so i could say to you later that i told you so

i have a feeling on what gsgoinfast is saying. you might as well just blow off the turbo kit idea and build your internals first and just run a bit more nitrous for now..... at least you won't blow your shit up.

and it's back on..... :p

oh jeez... just give it up will you, its still gonna cost just as much as a kit. go for the swap, its golden

First Miamieclipse you can get a turbo back from a very trust worthy muffler shop back in Davie. It's Called PORKY's MUFFLER. TRUST me, he will run you a 3" turbo back with an o2 sensor for less than $300 bucks. You won't find a better muffler shop in South Florida better than PORKY's Muffler located in DAVIE. Check him out. I can't remember his address, but look it up the telephone book. He is located is the city of Davie not to far form Miami . About a 30 minutes drive from Miami Lakes. Also NeonGreenEclips where in Kissimmee are you located? I just moved their and maybe you can show me around this boring City. :thumb:

Also Porky's Muffler shop can do you IC piping for a great price. Check him out!!! :thumb:

He can do IC piping really? Hmm that would really help me out...Distance is not a problem, i Just bought a house in Miramar but they will not be giving it to me until the 22nd of January....but currently I am in davie hehe Off the corner of Nob Hill & Griffin Road, and i go to school off of 595 & 441 near the dynamic turbo...

PS There is a dsm meet this sunday in broward. PM me if you want some more info.

Miamieclipse I would love to go to the DSM meet but I just moved to Central Florida. I hate it so much here. I wish the meet was on Saturday because I will be in Fort Lauderdale but leaving on Sunday for work

Is that manifold worth it? Because I did a custom manifold for my car and all its been was headaches. First my turbo melted my radiator fans and burnt my carbonfiber hood. Since I was redoing my motor I was thinking about getting a new manifold which is not on the top of the engine and more like in the middle, plus I wanted to go with the Howell 2.2 crate motors but I need more info on it. Does anyone know someone that put it on their car? Am I the only one running into these manifold problems?

That manifold is made for the 420a....I have seen some setups which run into problems with their manifold and i if I'm not mistaken the solution was to get slim fans....

On another note, damn you for stealing my thread.....Thread Hi-Jacker :p  hehe
