Great build! That's one impressive looking 420A.

The entire under carrage was sanded down to bare metal, por 15'd and all suspension components were powder coated.

How do you like the Por15? Did you use it right over the sanded bare metal? I plan on doing mine soon but not sure what I'm going to use. I was thinking Por15 then top coated with a bed liner for extra duarability, plus I've heard Por15 fades, although probably not much on the underside.

I have some Eastwood 2k ceramic chassis black that I'm going to use on the cross members and some other parts that won't be powder coated.

To answer a few questions: My goal with the car was/is road racing: I live in the north east so tracks such as Lime Rock and Watkins Glen.

The doors come CF outer shell, fiberglass inner shell, but a lot of work has to be done to them to get functionality out of them, I choose Manual windows for weight purposes, and for the fact that I wanted as little wire in my car as possible, however power will work just fine.

My goal has and always will be under 2200lbs for total body weight with my 200lb self in it, as you can see all panels have been replaced with lighter weight materials, all harness's have been removed body wise, all HVAC, all interior, basically the car is stripped however safety features like roll cage and 5pt harness's have been added.

Power wise I would like to acheive in and around the 550whp mark, sticking with the 420a block.

Wrapping the shell in CF was thought about, however it would look kinda funny being raised being all the other panels are full carbon and not wrapped factory pieces.

As for the compliments and dis-likes, I can appreciate both :) thanks everyone!

Also as for track times, I am not an experienced 1/4 mile driver by any means, I would love the car to see sub 10.99 however it would need the art of an advanced/experience driver to do so I am sure.

Were you able to keep power locks/windows with the CF doors?

The front end looks great, almost evo-like, but I don't think it matches the rest of the car sadly. Good work regardless.

With the carbon doors, you can keep all power functions, they sell carbon inserts bezels also or you can just swap in your factory plastic piece. I have not yet decided what I am going to do; I have shaved the lock solenoid on the passanger side, and just left a key entry on the drivers, every was converted to manual for the soul purpose of "pure race" excuse my terminology.

The front end was a custom piece by another avenger owner any myself, souly designed to work with the exact intercooler I have, AND still proved direct air supply to the radiator/oil cooler I have located behind the FMIC.

The side vents are functional also, and I have been working on duct work to provide direct ram air to my front calipers, the passanger side duct work is completed, the drivers side is a little more tricky due to the IC piping and my air filter being located in that vacinity; as I would like to baffle the filter also.

The side skirts were and are actual GSX side skirts cut and lengthend then reverse molded to form a full CF replica.

The hood, was a basic design, we chopped up a evo 8 hood, and a factory hood, molded in the evo 8 scoop and again reverse molded to make a full CF version.

Lastly the rear bumper which as some of you do not like, I myself am not sure of either, however its a frankenstein of a factory rear bumper and one of extreme dimensions WRX body kit bumpers, both were heavily modified to work together and retain factory Avenger body lines. It was supposed to include a defuser that dropped another 2-3 inches however we feel behind on the project and just submitted the work that was completed.

Everything on the car has a purpose, I can accept all criticisms and compliments and am more then willing to answer any and all questions.

As for Por 15'ing the under body, I am/was not a fan of rubberized under coating, and after rhino lyning (or similar) my trucks bed, and feeling the weight of the material used to do so, I choose por 15 because it does last well, it is very hard when dry, you can apply multiple layers as with rhino lyning, and I dont plan to drive the car much as it is.

I ended up Por 15'ing the whole underbody, and also the trunk area before painting.

ummm wow. I'm speechless. I absolutely love what you done to this car. I usually wouldn't like an avenger but you sure did make it a nice car all around. Keep us updated on any other work you do.

I personally like it; and I usually don't really like Avengers at all, but this ones awesome. Front bumper (and everything else too) looks fvcking amazing. Good job and Fvck the haters!
