my cars falling apart! please help tranny issues

so yesterday during the day my car was running fine till all of a sudden after eating i go to start the car and it starts prefect but it sounds like the starter goes really fast and doesn't sound like it normally does. then im driving and i was like WOW my clutch feels like sh it for some reason pull up to a light and when the cluth is pushed in it make a high pitched kinda click/squeel noise hard to explain but i was thinking throw bearing not sure though? so any input on the starting problem should i even worry about it? .... and to top this all off i was pulling into my driveway the other day and heard a big clunk, the rubber hanger for my exhaust snapped and the weld around the flex pipe broke so now it sounds like a big pos haha

okay so now when i drive and let off the gas and have my hand on the shift knob i can feel and hear it clunk around i dont know what it is it does it about 4 times and if i put my foot at the vary top of the clutch i can feel it move around and it vibrates really bad at idle any help would be appreciated

You have a broke motor or trans mount that explains The clunk broken hanger and probly has something to do with the other problems you are having.

The broken motor mount idea sounds about right, but you also might want to check that the engine is properly affixed to the transmission. Sometimes when a dumbass replaces the clutch, they leave the bellhousing bolts loose and eventually the whole thing tears in half. The resulting calamity is torn bellhousings and snapped mounting tabs off the block.

okay thanx for the replys ill look for that but now today just as i got home from work i shut the car off and went to turn it back on it doesnt start it just makes that grinding sound it make when a person turns the key over when a car is running. is my starter burnt out?

yuuuup after i posted that i went out to my car and yes every single bolt was loose and now it starts and drives fine thanx for the help

I've had that happen and so has my cousin -- he thought his engine was shot because of the noise.

yeah well to me last thing i would have thought of was my trany loosening off from the motor but my friend actually had that happen to him to in his 2000 gt or sumthing its got a 4g63nt in it too

A friend of mine bought a N/A 91 eclipse for $1500 and had that hapen to him. When I got in there and looked at it for him I found that the bell housing had been cracked and TIG welded, and the front lower engine tab had been broken off, and welded on crooked on a prior occasion.

This time around the bolts were all loose and the belhousing was peeling away like a spiral cut lemon zest.

One of the selling points made to him when he bought the car was the new clutch.WTF

shit mine was 1500 too but so far its good again now just need new exhaust and itll be fine again
