Ok so i'm not really new to cars... but i pretty much just know the basics. meaning i know nothing about turbos nor do i know anything about this car. my previous two cars had tons of room to find things and my eclipse.. well... just doesnt. ok so heres the problem. My car wont start, plain and simple. it worked fine yesterday, and today nothing. it's not the battery cause the lights all work fine, radio, ect. Basically, i turn the key, and it sounds like the car has started, and then it dies. The more i try to start the car, the less progress it makes in sounding as if it is going to start. I've noticed in the past when i start my car, it gives me that sort of turkey gobbler sound, but i've heard that sound is familiar with some turbo'd cars so i thought nothing of it. any ideas? Please don't blast me and call me a noob, I seriously got this car like 2 months ago and i havent begun attempting to mod it so i'm kinda lost under the hood. Thanks for any help i can get in advance.

Check out Vfaq.com as well as the TONS of no start threads here.
First if you have good cranking power(voltage) I would look at all the fuses underhood and under the dash.
That's a good place to start.

You have any mods or stereo stuff?

no mods at all. i was reading a bunch of them, but my problem is i'm not sure how to check for all of the symptums people are talking about

turbo or not, its still basicly the same engine.

have you checed the basics? spark? fuel? good fuel pressure?

It might be something as simple as a dying battery, sure the lights will work but it doesn't have enough juice to fully jump...so hook some cables up and try that. Second, check the turbo (take off the intake and see if there is any shaft play). Then spark plugs.... and just go on looking at all the small things first...maybe even just the starter...
