my car wont start..please help

i have a 95 talon tsi awd..Im only getting spark in one cylinder of each of my coil packs?..i got the coil pack tested at autozone and the guy said its still good.
and got new plugs and wires and car wont start?? i had it sitting like 7 months..please help me out..

How did you figure out that you are only getting spark in one cylinder?

Are you sure the coil is actually plugged in? If it's not all the way pushed down it will not fire

yes it is plugged in all the way.and i checked the spark from the wires i put a screw driver in.and helled it like 1/4 of a inch away from the block and had someone crank it.and i would check if i could see the spark jump. and i only saw it jump in one cylinder of each of my coil packs..but could it be the power transistor??

If it fires from 1 wire on a coil, it will fire from the other. The transistor, as well as all other ignition electronics are before the coils, so they will not interfere once the current reaches the coil, only before. The coil fires both wires/plugs at the same time, hence "waste spark"

There are a couple things that could be going on...

1 Your wires are bad (for whatever reason...not making connection to plug, corroded, not connecting to coil properly, etc.)

2 Your coils are bad. They might actually not be fried, but the connection inside where the plug wires could be broken off/something similar.

Try checking for spark directly from each coil. You can use the method you already are, but check for spark at the coil outlet rather than the wire. Go from there

ok ill try that thanks.but let me just tell yall exactly what happened.my car was running just fine but the starter was goin out so i push started it a couple times and it was fine.but then i push started it one last time then when i did that. it felt like it was only running on 2 cylinders, RPM was at 100 RPMs it was running horrible.no power whats so ever. it was bogging up to speed the whole time.and i made it home slowly but made it.then when i parked it and shut it off.next day i went to go turn it on and nothing..i pulled on the timming belt and it feels pretty tight. so i dought i jumped a tooth.my friend told me it could maybe be a relay?..but im gona check all the connections then check for spark.and go from there.

i had a mechanic check it out and he said it is the crank sensor..could that really be a problem?

as a general rule the parts stores CANNOT check electrical components like coil packs. i'd like to know how they did it, because we're actually not supposed to (at least my store anyway). it's just not something we do. we can do batteries and alternators and starters, and that's like it. and SOME ignition modules.

crank sensor could be a possibility. hell... swap it out and see what happens

I took it to a shop called driven authority and they said the valves are bent.but he didnt even take off the valve cover off?.the guy did a compression test just on one piston and it came out to 60?..those guys were kinda sketchy.im currently looking for a 6 bolt block.thanks guys

I wouldn't go by what they said, find a local who can help you work on it. They don't seem to know shit.
