please help..i recently took out my dash and painted it and while reinstalling it i encountered some major problems..my car ran fine while i was installing the dash until i plugged in a wiring harness under the cosole area..this harness was for my gauge cluster...it was running while i was installing the last harness when all the sudden a wire in the console area must have grounded itself or something because there was a little smoke then the car all the sudden turned off..after it turned off i tried starting it and it wouldnt it would crank over and sound like it was going to start then it turned off..the only way i can get it running is to try and start it and quickly push the gas pedal in..and when its started it will stay started til i turn it off then the problem happens again...it idles very poorly though...everything else in the car is working it just wont start..i believe i must have fried a sensor or something..the radio and everything works...oh and also the one thing that doesnt work is my safc..so im guessing whatever this is wired to is fried..what would that be...is it possible it could be the ecu even though almost everything else works..can u just fry a part of an ecu...please help im lost..thanks

yeah i tried that..didnt seem to find any..i just hope there isnt any fuses hidden behind the dash now that i got it back in..i dont believe its a fuse cuz since i saw that little bit of smoke i think something burnt but im not sure..i just hope not cuz thatll be a bi*** to replace
